What are FuZZpots?     

FuZZpots are baskets and hats made of felted wool from recycled sweaters.  Designs are inspired by the original sweater, as well as by classic pots and baskets from many cultures, and my own creative whimsy.  FuZZpots are both decorative and functional.

Because they are made from whatever I find, no two FuZZpots are alike.  Colors, textures, and thickness vary according to the original materials.  There is also a bit of magic involved due to the felting process.  FuZZpots are sturdy yet malleable, and will spring back to their original shape when crushed. 

FuZZpots come in many sizes and shapes, from tiny Treasure Keepers 3" across, to extra large baskets, 12" in diameter.  Matching, nesting FuZZpots made from the same sweater are often available.

"I love the symbolism of a vessel, particularly as a gift to another.  One can find a treasure within a basket, as within oneself.  Vessels can hold all our hopes, worries, and dreams in their empty spaces.  At the same time, they can be practical.  In other words, they hold all our "stuff", both in the physical and spiritual world.  When I make a FuZZpot, it contains all my wishes for the recipient, and my gratitude for their presence in my life."
